Membership
Member Eligibility
- Membership is limited to finance officers who are employed by Aged Care organisations that are Approved Providers of Aged Care and/or Home Care under the Aged Care Act. It is the intention that the AC-FON membership are employees of the organisation and do not work in a consulting capacity for several organisations.
- The Finance Officers Membership must be the incumbent of the most senior finance officer of the organisation. This role works directly with the CEO and Board. In the event that an organisation does not have a Senior Finance Officer, the CEO may step into this role for the organisation.
- Affiliate Finance Office Memberships are for subsequent roles of the organisation that wish to join the committee such as the Accountant, Business Manager or other finance related role within the organisation that reports to the Senior Finance Officer.
- If a member is on leave and cannot attend a meeting or event, a delegate may appear in their place with notification in advance to the AC-FON administrator.
Member Obligations
- Participate in Surveys: The usefulness of the periodic surveys conducted by AC-FON depends on full member participation. The surveys are designed, conducted, and the results compiled for the benefit of members of AC-FON.
- Maintain Confidentiality: To ensure AC-FON is kept a “safe” forum where members feel free to share expertise and experiences, members are expected to keep all AC-FON information and communications confidential. While AC-FON members can use generic information from AC-FON surveys, discussions, meetings, etc. within their own businesses, AC-FON members should never distribute AC-FON material to non-members or betray the confidence of their fellow members. All members are expected to sign a confidentiality agreement and renew this commitment annually.
